"Who Would Write Your Biography?"

Today my boyfriend did a very nice thing for me…

even though he knew he couldn’t stay over, he still took the train in to see the midnight premire of Chernobyl Diaries with me like he promised we would when he was supposed to sleep over. Now he’s on the 2:05am train back to Penn Station where he still has to transfer to the NJT. I don’t think he knows how much I really appreciate him (and I’m not just saying this so he’ll see it, he doesn’t use Tumblr). I’ve been having a really hard time adjusting back after moving home and going from seeing him daily to only on weekends, if that, and he’s been so kind and patient with me even though his family is going through a trauma and I’ve been acting beyond crazy. I’m not sure what I did to deserve such a great guy, but I am so thankful. I hope he realizes that, even though I don’t always express it. It’s so great to feel loved.

On the opposite side of that, I still need to learn how to balance having a boyfriend and having a separate life. He lives an hour away and I need to learn how to be able to be apart from him; go out with my friends and family here, get a job, go to school, etc. I’ve been going through a really hard time since moving home, but I’ve finally gained the support of my family and I’m switching meds, so we’ll see what happens. I’m going to try to go into this with an open mind, because I know that a closed mind won’t benefit anyone and I won’t be able to attempt change at all. It’s hard, but I know I have to give it a shot. I’m nervous, but I’m pretty sure I can only go up from here.
